If your drains are slow to empty, frequently blocking, or overflowing outside, high-pressure drain jetting is one of the most effective ways to clear the problem. Currently, my website is coming soon, as I prepare to launch my professional drain jetting services across Oxshott, Epsom, Cobham, and Esher & Surrey. I use powerful specialist equipment that sends high-pressure water through the pipes to remove grease, debris, scale build-up, and other blockages. This process not only clears the blockage but also thoroughly cleans the inside of the pipes, helping restore normal flow and reduce the chance of future problems.
What Is Drain Jetting?
Drain jetting (also known as high-pressure water jetting) is a powerful method used to clear and clean blocked drains. A specialist hose is fed into the pipe and releases controlled high-pressure water that breaks down and flushes away blockages. Unlike basic drain rods or chemical cleaners, drain jetting:
- Breaks down grease, fat and scale build-up that sticks to the inside of pipes
- Flushes away silt, sludge and debris from outdoor drainage systems
- Removes partial blockages before they turn into complete blockages
- Cleans the full internal diameter of the pipe, restoring proper water flow
Because it thoroughly cleans the pipe walls rather than just pushing a blockage through, drain jetting is ideal for recurring drainage problems, not just one-off blockages.
When Is Drain Jetting Recommended?
Drain jetting is commonly used when:
- Drains keep blocking even after being cleared
- Water drains away slowly throughout the property
- Outside drains overflow during normal use
- Grease or debris has built up inside the pipework
- Tree roots or silt are affecting the flow (after removal)
In some cases, I may recommend a CCTV drain inspection alongside jetting to identify any underlying problems such as damaged pipes or root intrusion.
